Thanks for the link, definitely looks like an interesting alternative.
Speaking for myself, I've found that it's easier for me to "write through to the end" with a simpler editor, which does wonders for certain kinds of writing. Guess that using emacs automatically switches me into "programming mode", which, for me, is very much a non-linear process (and using Word or OpenOffice switches me into a dreadful "corporate mode").
